Now that summer is drawing to a close, I thought it would be a good time to stop and reflect on how my art, and my art business, has developed over the past few months.
I have been in two group exhibitions in a gallery for the first time, built and shared my first website, and created a mailing list (thank you for signing up!).
It’s been a busy summer, but with each accomplishment made, I’ve felt more and more inspired to paint. Sharing my work meaningfully is a huge part of why I paint - to spark joy, to delight, and to connect.
I’ve also significantly changed how I paint, egged on by my many visits to art galleries and museums. I wanted to push myself and really develop my work, to move past my own internal limitations and unhelpful beliefs about my right to make art or call myself an artist, and to this end I’ve started work on my first full collection.
My plan is to keep this collection back from sale for now, and to work to find a gallery that will provide a home for them all together.
If you know of a gallery that you think would be a great fit for my art, please do let me know by replying to this email or using the contact form on my website. If you have any names or other specific contact details then that would be even better!
Thank you in advance for all of your support on this journey, I can’t wait to see where we end up next.
